During his Bengal tour, Dev has been promoting Khardaan in a unique way. He is visiting theaters in different locations, interacting with the audience, speaking to fans, and taking selfies with them. This promotional strategy has brought him even closer to his fans.

On January 2nd, a grand special screening was held at Khagan, attended by several stars. Among the guests were Prosenjit Chatterjee, Idhika Pal, Rituparna Sengupta, Sujit Mondal, and Rukmini Maitra. However, the day also brought a wave of grief to the Bengali film industry. Bagha Jatin director Arun Roy lost his battle with cancer and passed away on the same day. Until his last moments, he had hoped to work on another project with Dev. According to actress Srija Dutta, who played Indu in Bagha Jatin, this was revealed in an online report by The Indian Express.

Upon hearing about Arun Roy’s illness, Dev visited him at the hospital. Both Dev and Rukmini were present at his final journey to pay their respects. The star duo took part in his funeral rites and bid farewell to Arun Roy with tearful eyes, offering him their last respects.
