Storyline : The story begins with a young boy named Lalu at its center. He has just been promoted to the fifth grade, which means he needs new books. Excited by this, he eagerly shares the news with his parents. Beside Lalu’s house stands a large, ancient tree—one that holds countless memories of his childhood and a deep emotional bond. In the village, preparations begin for the traditional boat race festival. The entire community dives into the celebration with great enthusiasm. But amid the joy, tragedy strikes—Lalu’s father falls in the crowd and is severely injured. His condition worsens, and eventually, he passes away. Time flows on, and Lalu gradually grows up, shaped by the trials and tribulations of life. Years later, the boat race returns to the village. After so long, Lalu picks up the oar himself and joins the race. Watching him, his mother is overwhelmed with emotion. Around this time, the local landlord’s daughter begins to feel a quiet affection for Lalu. Slowly, a silent connection begins to form between them. From this point, the story takes a new turn. What lies ahead for Lalu? Will he be united with the one he holds dear? Or is fate preparing an unexpected twist for him?
