Idhika Paul gained widespread recognition after acting opposite Shakib Khan in the movie Priyotoma. Since then, there have been numerous discussions about her performances, and her acting skills continue to develop over time.
Recently, Idhika signed up for another new film with Shakib Khan titled Barbaad, which is currently being filmed and is considered a significant milestone in her career.
On the occasion of Halloween, Idhika shared a spooky experience with her fans, which sparked great interest and admiration for her bravery.
On her Facebook post, Idhika wrote, “Do coincidences happen only in movies? That night, something unbelievable happened to us too. I’m sharing this because my sister was also with me then. This incident took place many years ago when my uncles lived in a rented house near Garia Station.”
I had gone there to visit. One evening, my sister and I were watching a movie together. The movie was Bhool Bhulaiyaa. We were the only ones at home at that time. But that very night, we encountered a frightening situation.
Just as I said before, the mystery behind that “coincidental” incident remains beyond my understanding even today.
Idhika Paul shared, “The movie was playing on the TV just fine. We were watching it, laughing and feeling scared at the same time. Suddenly, we heard a strange groaning sound. It was so eerie that anyone hearing it would get chills. The TV was in front of the bed, the door beside it, and the sound seemed to be coming from just beyond the door. At first, I thought it was my imagination because we were watching a horror movie. But since my sister had already seen the movie, she realized that the sound wasn’t part of it.”
She added, “Even today, the mystery behind that coincidence remains unknown to me.”
Continuing the story, Idhika explained, “I assumed the sound was coming from the movie, so I gathered some courage and asked my sister to mute the TV. But even after muting it, the sound continued! The TV was completely silent, yet the groaning noise persisted. That’s when the real question arose—where was this sound coming from?”
“Before we could figure it out, fear took over, and we hid behind the bed, screaming. Our screams brought the landlord and others downstairs. Strangely enough, no one else could find the source of the sound, nor did they hear it again. Sometimes I wonder if someone deliberately tried to scare us. But then I think, where could they possibly have run to after scaring us?”
Idhika concluded by writing, “The road in front of my uncle’s house was quite wide, with ponds on both sides. There was no place for anyone to hide. Given the situation, it was impossible for us to tell if someone was really hiding beyond the door.”
The sound was so clear and seemed so close that it felt like someone was standing right outside the door. Our hearts started racing in fear. Forget about opening the door to check—we hid behind the bed and started screaming. Hearing our screams, the people in the house rushed down. But the strange thing was that none of them heard the bizarre sound, nor could they find its source.
Idhika further said, “Even now, when I think of that incident, I feel both scared and amused! Having such a spooky experience while watching a horror movie is truly a coincidence, isn’t it?”
