Malaika Chowdhury, the younger sister of Bangladesh’s popular actress Mehazabien Chowdhury, is emerging as a new-generation star in the showbiz industry.
Earlier this year, Malaika began her showbiz journey through a TV commercial. Since then, she had not taken on any other projects until she acted in the drama Shondhikkhon in October, showcasing her talent.
At a recent event, when asked by journalists about her younger sister’s acting career, Mehazabien shared her thoughts. She said, “Malaika is still very young and just at the beginning of her career. So far, she has acted in only one drama called Shondhikkhon and appeared in one TV commercial. When I was her age, I was very quiet and couldn’t do much. Malaika is going through that phase now.”

To develop skills, one must be patient and work hard. Just like I didn’t know much at the beginning of my career. When I think about ten years ago, I realize that I learned and developed my skills gradually by working consistently. It doesn’t happen overnight.
That’s why time is crucial. Gaining experience and improving skills in any field requires enough time. One should not be too judgmental or expect to master everything instantly. You need to give time and opportunity to learn. With proper guidance and enough time, anyone can improve.”
Notably, Malaika Chowdhury plays the lead role in the drama Shondhikkhon, starring opposite popular actor Farhan Ahmed Jovan. The concept of the story is by Mehazabien Chowdhury herself. To bring a unique touch to the plot, she came up with the idea for the drama. Renowned director Muhammad Mostafa Kamal Raz wrote and directed the drama.
