What happened?

Rabindranath Tagore’s literary influence on Bengali life is so profound that his writings act as a magical remedy, much like Boroline, in times of sorrow or pain. Bengali life feels incomplete without his literature. His works beautifully capture love, separation, joy, sorrow, independence, worship, fear, and mystery. However, despite all of this, a question arises—did Rabindranath truly take an interest in the Indian independence movement? Was he really an enemy of the country, our national poet? To find answers to these questions, Ritwick Chakraborty and Srabanti Chatterjee have now taken up this new initiative. Will they be able to solve this mystery?

To find the answers to these questions, Sayantan Ghoshal’s new film “Rabindra Kabyar Rahasya” has made its debut. The film will attempt to unravel the complex questions that have long sparked debates around the world poet Rabindranath Tagore.

In “Rabindra Kabyar Rahasya,” Priyanshu Chatterjee will play the role of Rabindranath Tagore. In the poster for the film, his portrait is displayed at the top, with his famous books shown beneath it. Standing below the books are Ritwik Chakraborty and Srabanti Chatterjee.

Recently, SK Movies released the motion poster for “Rabindra Kabyar Rahasya.” The poster asks, “Did Rabindranath Tagore not want the independence of our country?” Ritwick Chakraborty responds to this question, saying, “People are spreading so many rumors about Rabindranath that someone has to speak against it.” The caption of the poster reads, “Was the national poet an enemy of the country?” This has sparked various discussions about the new film and generated curiosity among people.

The film also features notable performances from Rajnandini Pal and Ritabrata Mukhopadhyay in key roles. Ritwik Chakraborty’s character, Abhik, is a poet by profession and enthusiastic about solving mysteries. Srabanti Chatterjee plays the character Hiya, a Rabindra Sangeet singer who travels to London to perform. Abhik also goes to London for a murder investigation. What mystery lies in the singer’s life? How will this mystery be uncovered? The story of “Rabindra Kabyar Rahasya” progresses around these questions.

This year, the International Goa Film Festival selected Rabindra Kabyar Rahasya for the Panorama section, marking a significant achievement for the film. Sayantan Ghoshal directed the movie.

Actress Srabanti Chatterjee, who plays the lead role, shared the news of the film’s selection with joy and pride. She said, “The Indian Panorama section at the 2023 International Film Festival of India has selected Sayantan’s Rabindra Kabyar Rahasya.” I am extremely excited and honored to be the heroine of this film. Congratulations to the entire team!”

The film’s selection at the Goa Film Festival is a testament to its quality and a notable recognition of Sayantan Ghoshal’s work, further increasing viewers’ curiosity about the movie.
